Most states' real estate exams have a National portion covering the principles every state shares and a State portion on that state's own law (a few, like Florida, test both in one exam). Most prep courses are built for the National half, since that's the part they can sell everywhere, and treat your state's law as an afterthought.
What we do instead
We cover both, in one pass — no juggling two different sites, and no separate SKU to choose between for State versus National.
Before you start
You still need to complete your state's approved pre-licensing education before you can sit the exam — that requirement doesn't change, and this isn't a substitute for it. State RE PREP™ is exam-day practice for after your coursework is done.
Frequently asked questions
What does State RE PREP™ cover?
Your state's whole real estate license exam: practice questions, timed mock exams in the real format and free lessons. In states whose exam has a National portion and a State portion, one pass covers both. Pick your state on the home page; we add states over time.
How much does it cost?
One pass per state, with full access in a 30-day or 90-day window. It's a single, one-time charge with no subscription and no auto-renewal. See current pricing on our Pricing page.
Is this official exam prep from my state commission?
No. State RE PREP™ is an independent practice platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any state real estate commission or by Pearson VUE, who administer the exams. We help you prepare for them.
Do I still need to complete pre-licensing education?
Yes. Every state requires its approved pre-licensing education before you can sit the exam — that requirement doesn't change, and we don't replace it. State RE PREP™ is exam-day practice for after your coursework is done, not a substitute for it.
What's the difference between the National and State portions of the exam?
In most states the exam has a National portion covering principles every state shares and a State portion on that state's own law; you must pass both. A few states, such as Florida, test everything in one exam. Many study guides shortchange the state law — we cover both, from official sources.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 days of purchase, as long as you haven't started a paid mock exam, answered a question, or viewed your results. Full policy is in our Terms of Service.
