Frequently asked questions

Which states can I prepare for?

Texas, North Carolina, Florida and Pennsylvania. Each state is its own pass covering that state's whole license exam; we add states over time.

What's the difference between the National and State portions?

Most of these exams are split: a National portion on the principles every state shares — agency, contracts, financing, federal law, math — and a State portion on that state's own law, each scored separately. Florida's Sales Associate exam is one 100-question exam with Florida law throughout. Free concept lessons →

What score do I need to pass?

Texas sales agent: 70% on each portion (56 of 80 and 28 of 40); North Carolina: 75 on each section; Florida: 75 on the single exam; Pennsylvania: 75% on each portion.

Should I take the salesperson exam or the broker exam?

The salesperson (sales agent, sales associate) exam is for your first license. A broker exam is for agents who are already licensed and have the required experience. In North Carolina the first license is itself called a broker license, so it is listed here. Broker exams →

Does this replace pre-licensing education?

No. Every state requires its approved pre-licensing education before you can sit the exam. State RE PREP™ is exam practice for after your coursework, not a substitute for it.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. Each state has free sample questions with explanations and no signup, and every concept lesson is free to read.

How do the 30-day and 90-day passes work?

Each pass is a single, one-time charge for full access for 30 or 90 days — no subscription and no auto-renewal. The 90-day pass simply gives you more time. Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if you haven't started a paid mock exam, answered a question, or viewed your results. Terms of Service →

Is this official commission content?
